, ,Charity Navigator is looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented, strong communicator to join our team on a temporary, part-time basis. The position will begin in early September and last until at least March 31, 2026, possibly longer. It will be fully remote and the candidate will need to provide their own computer.
Charity Navigator helps millions of people take action and support the causes they care about by connecting them to the best charities that align with their passions and values. The Customer Success team develops and implements strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the success of our customers, including donors and nonprofits. The team serves as the primary point of contact for most of the correspondence with our customers. This involves handling inbound and outbound correspondence, tracking communications, and monitoring trends.
We are looking for an adaptable and detail-oriented person to work with the Customer Success team. This individual will correspond with all of our website users, ensuring that Charity Navigator is well-represented to all external parties. They will also track correspondence and assist in identifying trends. They will assist the Customer Success team with updating and organizing policy and procedure documentation.

What you’ll be doing:
Responsibilities may include some or all of the following, depending on need:

Direct correspondence with donors and nonprofit organizations, both via email and phone

Assisting customers in all aspects of their journey on our website

Data collection and organization

Customer inquiry routing

Trend analysis
What we’re looking for:

At least one year in a customer service role
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills (we will use your cover letter as an evaluation of your writing skills)

Someone with excellent time management skills

Someone seeking to gain experience in the nonprofit sector

A detail-oriented person who is able to take initiative and take ownership of assignments

Able to troubleshoot and provide creative solutions when faced with obstacles

Comfortable working in a small, friendly work environment
Please note:

We’re looking for someone who can commit to 20 hours per week (four hours a day) between our normal business hours of Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm EST. You will need to use your own computer for this temporary role.

Pay for role is $17 an hour.
